Brides love sparkle, and the best way to get your wedding to really shine is to use lots and lots of crystals.
There are some great ways to use them that you have probably already thought about, but don't limit yourself to the basics.
With a little creativity, you will discover that there are some fantastic and unexpected ways to use crystals to decorate your wedding.
When you think about crystal in a wedding, the first two things that come to mind are likely the bridal jewelry and the wedding gown.
Without a doubt, this is a great place to start.
Brides who love sparkle will not only want it on their gown and crystal bridal jewelry, but also as accents on their tiaras, shoes, and even the veil.
This is an excellent beginning, but if you really adore the great sparkle and shine of Swarovski crystals, there are many other fun ways to make them a part of your wedding.
The bride's bouquet is one place that you can definitely add some sparkle.
Crystals can be wired into the floral arrangement so that they twinkle among the blooms.
You can also use crystal tipped pins to secure stephanotis, instead of the traditional pearl headed pins.
Another idea is to have teardrop shaped crystals dripping out from the edges of your bouquet - this is a spectacular effect! But don't stop there - if the stems of your flowers are wrapped in ribbon, add a crystal or rhinestone brooch to the ribbon for decoration.
One of the most unique uses of crystal is to create a crystal "stem" for the groom's boutonierre.
Often the bride and groom will have specially decorated chairs to use for the reception.
For over the top opulence, drape a couple of crystal tassels from the back of each chair.
This would be especially fabulous for an evening wedding.
The crystal tassels will dance in the candlelight.
After the wedding, you can find a place of honor for them in your home décor.
Wedding favors are one of the most fun parts of the wedding, because you have completely free rein to express your ideas.
If you want your wedding to be as dazzling as possible, then choose favors with a little sparkle.
One nice idea is crystal trimmed picture frames.
They can double as place card holders, and will add to the effect of your tablescape.
Not all of your crystals have to be seen by everyone.
Fashionistas will love to have the soles of their high heeled bridal shoes embellished with the initials of the bride and groom in pale blue crystals.
For a little wedding night surprise, a blue garter with a few sparkly crystals is a nice touch.
Just skip the garter stuff at the reception, and keep it a surprise just for your groom, please! And for the honeymoon, be sure to order a bikini with your new married name on the bottom in crystals.
Crystals add sparkle, style, and just plain fun to a wedding.
Think beyond the basics, and add more layers of crystals to your wedding for the most fabulous effect.
Just think about how your guests will be dazzled when they walk into your wedding!
