How to Turn on Stacks in Dock Mac

    • 1). Create a folder that you want to turn into a stack. To create a new folder, press "Control" on your keyboard and click on the desktop. Select "New folder." You can put any number of files or subfolders inside.

    • 2). Click on the folder and drag it into the dock.

    • 3). Display the folder as a stack. The folder should automatically display as a stack, but if it doesn't, press "Control" on your keyboard and click the folder in the dock. Select "Stack" from the "Display as" field.

    • 4). Select a method to sort the stack. Press "Control" on the keyboard and then click on the stack in your dock. A menu opens where you can choose to sort the contents by name, date added, date created, date modified and kind.

    • 5). Choose a method to display the stack. Press "Control" on your keyboard and click the stack. You can choose to display the stack as fan, grid, list or automatic.
