I Am Starting a Business Blog Article Network - Would You Like to Contribute?
Why me I thought as I read the solicitation email.
Apparently someone had found one of my 13,000 plus articles online, found it well written and interesting and then emailed me to join their online business blog network, discussion forum and article group.
The topic of this online network and article group was simple; Business Marketing.
Basically the email read: "I am Starting a Business Blog Article Network - Would You Like to Contribute?" Sounds interesting on the surface right? Well, turns out the business blogging network and even its website had not been launched yet, but this was my chance to what; get in on the ground floor? The Founder of this website claims that the site will be divided into categories like, Business Marketing and sales, Business Accounting and Finance and Small Business Owners.
By being separated it supposedly will give you a better chance for your targeted market.
So, after I had heard just about enough of this New-article Website (dot) com [not the actual name but close], I emailed the Founder back and said;
If you really care about your future website and adventure, and about those who will be providing you free-content, why are you so impersonal? That right there sure tells me a lot.
If you are an online article writer beware of such tactics to get you to spend your time providing income and content to someone else that could care less about you.
There are a lot of takers and users in the world, a word to the wise.

My mother has a really nice blog that gives away original recipes and there are 4-sections; Desserts, Soups and Salads, BBQ and appetizers.And I wanted to know if the Founder cared about me or us as the participants in the online social business network, so I asked; Why did you send me a Form e-mail? The first email was not very personalized, it stated that you liked my article, as in ONE, article, but I have 13,000 articles online now, all original, all written by me.
Please contribute your recipe and we may highlight this recipe if you are that week's winner in one of the categories.
So, my question to you is; So what? In other words how much traffic do you have, exposure? Then I asked some more very tough questions such as:
- How well funded are you?
- How can we be sure it is worth our time as authors to post articles on your website?
- Fresh content, that takes time to create, what ROI should I expect?
If you really care about your future website and adventure, and about those who will be providing you free-content, why are you so impersonal? That right there sure tells me a lot.
