How to Find the Value of a House in Kansas
- 1). Visit the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA) website (see Resource for a link). Independent fee appraisers offer their valuation services on a contractual basis, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The Association provides a search tool to locate Kansas home appraisers.
- 2). Select “Kansas” from the “State” drop-down menu on the NAIFA Search page. Additionally, you can enter your city or zip code to narrow your search.
- 3). Click the “Search” button to execute the search.
- 4). Review the results and contact a preferred appraiser.
- 1). Visit the government website for the county in which the house is located. For example, the Douglas County government site provides an “Online Values & Taxes” tool that lists property values.
