How to Add Text to a Funny Sign Picture
- 1). Open Paint, click the Paint button in the top-left corner of the screen and click "Open." Browse to the funny sign picture and double-click the file name to open the image in the Paint workspace.
- 2). Click one of the colored boxes in the "Colors" section of the toolbar at the top of the screen. Select a paint color for the text that will be easy to see on the picture, such as a light color for a dark picture or leave the default as black.
- 3). Click the "Text" tool, which looks like an "A" on the "Tools" section of the toolbar. Select a font and text size for the words, click the picture and type the text, such as "We Found Route 666 on Route 66!" Drag the text box into place on the picture.
- 4). Click the Paint button, click "Save As" and type a new name for the photo.
- 1). Open Photoshop, click the "File" menu and click "Open." Navigate to the sign picture to add text onto and double-click, which opens the image on the Photoshop screen.
- 2). Click the "Text" tool, which looks like a "T" on the "Tools" palette on the left side of the screen. Select a font, text size and text color from the toolbar at the top of the screen.
- 3). Click the sign picture and type the text, such as the date and zip code of the place you found the sign. Drag the text box into place above or below the sign.
- 4). Click the "File" menu and click "Save As." Give the sign picture a new name and save it to the computer.
- 1). Open Publisher and click the "Blank" button, the first option on the "Available Templates" screen.
- 2). Click the "Insert" tab at the top of the screen and click the "Picture" button directly below it to open a browser. Navigate to the funny sign picture and double-click the file name, opening the picture on the Publisher page.
- 3). Click the "Draw Text Box" button on the middle of the toolbar at the top of the screen. Click your cursor and drag a text box directly on the picture.
- 4). Type the picture text message, such as "Can You Believe This?" Highlight the text, click the "Home" tab at the top of the screen and change the text's appearance using the controls in the "Font" section of the toolbar.
- 5). Click the "File" tab, click "Save As," give the file a name and save it to the computer.
