Visit this location of Cleethorpes while you're in North East Lincolnshire.
Originally this would actually be the location of three different villages.
But they would join and form the town of Cleethorpes.
There has been evidence that shows life might have been in this location as early as the Neolithic times.
However, more substantial evidence has shown that Danes would occupy this area during the sixth century.
The main way of earning money would be by fishing during those times.
But when the 1820s game along it would be developed more as a resort area.
As the railway was brought into this location it would gain more notoriety with many people coming to visit.
Part of the town actually lies along the Greenwich meridian, and a post is located to show that spot.
The location offers many wonderful views for you to take pictures of, plus the history in this area is fun to learn.
While a visit to Ross Castle should be a must while in this area.
What remains of it is a wonderful thing to see.
Not actually sitting on the sea, but located on the estuary of Humber.
Meaning that bathers who enjoy the water will be separated from the sea by the mud that remains in between.
You can see two forts from the river mouth, plus if it's a clear day it is viable to see the lighthouse that is located at Spurn Point.
