    • 1). Pour 3 cups water and 1 1/2 cups glycerin into large, flat casserole dish. Mix them together with a whisk.

    • 2). Place the leaves in the bottom of the dish in a single layer, spaced evenly apart. If the leaves will not stay at the bottom and keep floating upward, place a penny over each to keep them at the bottom.

    • 3). Leave the leaves in the dish for four to six days. The glycerin soaks into the leaves and preserves them, leaving them colorful, soft and flexible like rubber. This gives them versatility for use in home decor and crafts.
