Online Bingo Demographics release Some Interesting results
Online bingo players have changed the demographics of this game for good and while nana is still trailing off to her local bingo club to play her favourite game. Her children and grandchildren are playing online, so there is hope that soon the bug might catch on and more of the elderly will be enjoying the online version.
Forward thinking Ladbrokes Bingo [http://www.unluckyforsome.co.uk/bingo-reviews/ladbrokes-bingo.html] recently took on the first ever "Bingo Ambassador" at their site and she is 76 years old. This is actually quiet a lovely story. A dear old lady named Rose, who has been playing bingo for more than 50 years, and is a real social butterfly, organised for her and some of the mates from her bingo club to pay a visit to a rival bingo hall. This happened in the land based industry and is a true story!
I am not going to mention brand names, but it is one of the large UK groups and they are going to receive some very bad publicity for this story, so they know who they are. But on finding out that she had done this her local bingo club, slapped a ban for life on her. I did not even know this kind of ban existed, but it does and it is called an ASBO. It means that for the rest of her life she is not allowed to attend her local club or any of the other Online Bingo Clubs operated by this company.
Now Ladbrokes Bingo once hearing about this stupid act, felt really badly for Rose, so they gave it some thought and wondered how they could turn this bad thing into something good. Being the innovative thinkers they are, the decided to make Rose, their online bingo ambassador. They gave her a brand new state of the art lap top and will deposit money into her account for her to play with every month. They also gave her a Ladbrokes Bingo branded mobility scooter, so she can get around to all her friends and tell them about Ladbrokes Bingo as well as show them how to play online bingo.
So now, one stupid mistake by another bingo company has turned into a marvellous opportunity for another to get the elderly interested in playing online bingo. As for what a bongo club is doing slapping a ban on a member for attending another club...I don't know what the world is coming to. The last time I checked we were allowed to be members of whatever club we want, shop in whatever shop we want, and have the freedom to move wherever we want. Big mistake, bingo company (you know who you are) big mistake.
