Do You Feel Like a Fundraising Post Turtle?
Does this image capture how you may feel sometimes when you are stuck with a fundraiser for your organization that isn't working that someone else created and you don't know how to get out of it? Well, keep the faith.
There is a better way.
What if you found a fundraiser that would give your organization a sustainable residual income that just keeps flowing in or that you can turn on whenever wish? What if there were a fundraiser that would not cost your supporters any out of pocket cash? What if there were a fundraiser that would allow your supporters to make a handsome contribution to your organization doing something that they are already doing? What if there were a fundraiser that would expand your supporter base to people who like to give but couldn't afford it before? Actually, I'm going to share with you two ways your organization can start cranking in the bucks right away without having to recruit an army of volunteers, shell out for a bunch of poisonous junk food that you have sell and hope you make a profit.
Have you ever heard of online shopping? I should hope so.
Everyone is doing it these days, and it has surged to a 30 billion dollar industry practically overnight.
Have you ever heard of affiliate marketing? If you don't know it by name, you are probably familiar with the concept.
Amazon.
com pioneered this ingenious method of marketing and today it is respectable and a well accepted way of doing business online.
Certainly you've seen links from one Website to another.
When you go to the other site and purchase something, the referring site earns a commission.
This is a win/win situation because both sites are making money they probably wouldn't have had otherwise.
Combine online shopping with affiliate marketing, and you have a dynamite formula for helping non-profit organizations raise funds by encouraging their members to shop in a special mall designed to direct funds to non-profits.
This is no ordinary mall.
It is the largest mall ever assembled with over 1300 stores that includes all your favorites that you would find in your local mall but much, much more.
It has every big box store you can think of plus specialty and boutique shops from around the world for a vast array of shopping delights that will keep even those with a shopping addiction happy-my mother for instance.
How much money could you make? Well, of course that depends on the size of your support group.
But suppose you were a small library with 1000 card holders.
If these library supporters only spent $100 a month shopping in the library's mall, they could earn $8000.
That's almost $100,000 a year.
What if the library had 10,000 card holders spending just $100 a month in the mall.
That could yield the library $80,000 a month or almost a million dollars a year.
Do you see the power of this online shopping concept? Here's the second revenue source, which can either be integrated and reinforce the shopping or a standalone money maker for your non-profit.
And this one is even more powerful than the first one.
Together they are simply awesome.
What if you could get a free customized search toolbar powered by Yahoo that would pay your organization ten cents for every sponsored link click.
Again, let's say that your library had 1000 supporters who agreed to click 10 times a day in the search engine results.
That would mean each member is contributing $1.
00 per day to the library's coffers or collectively $1000 per day! After a month of clicking, that's $30,000 to the library.
After a year of clicking at the same rate, that's another $365,000 in the library's treasury.
Kaching! Add the $100,000 from shopping, and you have just under a half million dollars for your little neighborhood library, which is probably five times its normal budget.
Wow! Of course, if you had a 10,000 member library, the returns would be staggering as you would be pulling in $10,000 a day from search engine clicks and $2666 a day from shopping.
You would be just shy of yielding FIVE MILLION dollars at the end of the year.
