How to Remove Wall Paper Residue
- 1). Add 4 tbsp. liquid fabric softener to a spray bottle. Fill the rest of the bottle with warm water. Shake to mix.
- 2). Spray the fabric-softener solution liberally onto the wallpaper residue. Let the solution sit for a few minutes to loosen and soften the adhesive.
- 3). Soak a clean sponge in a bucket of warm water. Wipe down your walls with your sponge to remove the loosened wallpaper residue and the fabric-softener solution. Rinse the sponge in the warm water continually so you're not just smearing the residue around. Change the water in the bucket as necessary.
- 4). Let your walls air dry for a day or two before redecorating.
