Weight Loss - Whole Foods Vs Processed Foods

101 9
In simple terms what you eat either falls into the category of whole foods or processed foods.

Whole foods are unrefined unprocessed natural foods. Most people would say they are inconvenient because they involve some form of preparation. You will be able to spot whole foods easily because they are bright colours without the need for food labels.

Processed foods, on the other hand, are stripped of nutrients, they contain chemicals, artificial ingredients and preservatives. They are a popular option for a lot of people because of the convenience. Processed foods are easy to spot because they are boxed, canned or bagged at the supermarket and usually contain a lot of ingredients that you don't know on the food labels.

Whole foods have a short shelf life because they are natural whereas processed items can last for a long time due to the amount of preservatives that are used in the process of making these food types.

Eating natural foods can help improve the healthy bacteria in your digestive system which aids in digestion whereas processed foods aren't favourable to the healthy bacteria.

When shopping look at the labels of real good food. What does the ingredient list say on broccoli on carrots on apples and so on? There is no ingredient list because they don't contain anything else other than what they are. Fake bad foodstuff, however, contains ingredients that you can't say or that you don't have a clue what they are.

Choosing natural options to eat over processed items at the supermarket is one of the best choices you can make to lose weight, maintain it and improve your health.
