If you don't keep your knowledge current, your customers may start to take their business elsewhere.
Take classes, and do your own independent research whenever possible.
Staying focused will mean improved customer relations, plus you will be less likely to miss opportunities for expansion.
There are many ways to keep yourself informed, both formal and informal.
Never underestimate the value of a customer survey.
Don't be afraid to take a look at your competitors' strategies too.
While you won't want to copy them directly, you may be able to glean valuable information from the way they do business.
By keeping your market happy, you generate repeat customers.
And repeat customers are a big step in the direction of a strong, stable, profitable business.
