    • 1). Click the "Start" or "Globe" button located in the lower-left corner of the PC desktop, and then click the "Search" box.

    • 2). Type "cmd" in the "Search" box and then right-click on the command line icon that appears. Click "Run as Administrator."

    • 3). Type "vol c:" and substitute the "c:" with the letter of the drive for which you need the serial number, and then press the "Enter" key. The serial number will display in the command line output labeled "Volume Serial Number."
