    • 1). Wash your dishes immediately after cooking and eating. The longer you leave dishes sitting, the more odor builds up in your home.

    • 2). Take out the trash after cooking fish. Leftovers and scraps will create fresh odors even after the original one has faded.

    • 3). Use the vent above your stove and cook with the windows open to limit the buildup of smells.

    • 4). Disinfect all surfaces in the kitchen after cooking. These include the stove top, countertops and sink.

    • 5). Mix 1 cup of water with 3 tbsp. vinegar and bring it to a slow boil. Leave it boiling for a few minutes to neutralize odors in the air.
