How to Make Your Own Dry Dog Food

Due to some fairly recent pet recalls, many dog owners are turning towards the idea of making their own dry dog food.
This is a fantastic choice, because many store brands do not have the quality of ingredients that your pet needs for a balanced diet and nutrition.
By making your own dry dog food you can always be sure that the ingredients you feed your dog are fresh, healthy, and contain the vitamins and minerals that they need.
In addition, pet food quality standards are much different than human food standards.
There are loop holes that a lot of companies use to produce very poor quality dog food that although might fill your pups belly, will lack a lot of the nutrition that they need.
Furthermore, some of the chemicals and preservatives found in store bought dog food can actually be dangerous to your dog's health.
That's why I highly recommend making your own pet food.
So! With that out of the way, let me share with you a really simple recipe that you can use to feed your pup.
What You'll Need: 4 cups whole wheat flour 3 cups white flower 1 cup wheat germ 2 cups ground beef 1 tsp.
yeast 2 tsp.
garlic powder 2 cups powdered milk 4 eggs First, take the yeast and dissolve it in one cup of warm water.
Once dissolved, take all the ingredients and mix them together.
You'll want to play with the mixture until it becomes a thick paste.
Once you're happy with the paste, allow it to sit for 30 minutes and rise.
Take a rolling pin and roll the dough out onto a floured surface flattening it as much as you can.
Then, using a knife cut out tiny bits to resemble doggy kibble.
Take these bits and cook them at 375 F, for about 40 minutes.
Allow them to cool down before serving to your pup.
Remember, because this is all natural it won't last as long as store bought kibble since it doesn't contain the preservatives store brands do.
I recommend no longer than 3 days.
