How to Convert a JDW to an Eclipse

    • 1). Install an instance of the programming compiler "Eclipse," then "Blackberry Java Development Environment (JDE) Plugin." Open "Eclipse."

    • 2). Select "Import" from the "File" menu, then expand the "Blackberry" tab. Select "Import Blackberry Projects," then click "Next." Select the Java Runtime Environment -- or JRE -- version you wish to use.

    • 3). Browse to the .jdw file you want to import in the "Blackberry Workspace" dialog, then click on it. Choose the radio box that says "Copy Blackberry projects into workspace" to create a copy. But leave it unchecked, if you want to edit the JDW from the original source. Click "Finish" to convert.
