When you have a small bathroom, you know that you really don't have much to work with.  There are a few things that you can do with your bathroom to make it look nicer and be a bit more functional even when it's extremely small.  Find out some tips that will help you improve this situation.

Start using the walls.  There will be some wall space.  This is where you are going to install some shelving and some hooks.  You can also use the door as well.  This is a way of making your bathroom more functional without taking up any floor space that you really don't have.

Consider buying an above the toilet shelving system.  These are shelving or even cabinets that don't have to be installed as they just stand over the toilet.  This is nice since you can have extra space without taking up part of the floor.

Make sure you decorate the bathroom with very light colors.  This makes the room look bigger.  If it's dark, it will look much smaller.

Be sure to install a larger mirror and better lighting.  This will make the room look larger as well.  The visual from the mirror alone will double the size of the space.

If you have a shower curtain, consider leaving it open.  This will make the space look larger as the wall will be deeper.  If you have a shower door, consider getting a clear door as opposed to a frosted door for the same effect.
