Do you want to know whether a plug-in will work with your Outlook installation? Are you not sure you are running the latest version? Has support staff asked you for the exact Outlook version number?

Fortunately, Outlook itself knows that number well—and it will reveal it to you, too, if you know where to look.

Find Out Which Version of Outlook You Are Using

To discover which Outlook version you are currently running:


Windows

1. Click FILE in your main Outlook window.
2. • If you see an Office Account section:
     1. Open the Office Account category.
     2. Click About Outlook.
   • If you see a Help section:
     1. Go to the Help category.
   • If you see neither Office Account nor Help:
     1. Open the Help menu instead in the main Outlook window.
     2. Select About Microsoft Office Outlook from the menu.

Mac

1. Select Outlook in the main Outlook for Mac window's menu bar.
2. Now choose About Outlook from the menu that has appeared.

iOS and Android

1. Go to the Settings screen in Outlook.
2. Select Help.

You will find the full version number listed on the dialog or page that comes up.

iOS

Android

• Outlook for Android: 1.2.23

Note that these version numbers do not necessarily reflect the latest update for the respective Outlook releases; the version number you see may likely be higher.
