How to Set Up an MS Exchange Server
- 1). Log into the network server computer on which you want to install Microsoft Exchange Server.
- 2). Insert the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 DVD into the DVD drive of your computer. If the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 setup wizard automatically starts, skip to Step 6.
- 3). Click “Start” and then click “My Computer.”
- 4). Right-click the DVD drive icon on the My Computer window that opens and then click “Open.”
- 5). Double-click the “Setup”/“Setup.exe” icon. This will start the Microsoft Exchange Server installation wizard.
- 6). Click “Step 4: Install Microsoft Exchange” on the dialog box that opens.
- 7). Click “Next” on the Introduction dialog box that opens.
- 8). Select “I accept the terms in the license agreement” on the License Agreement page and then click “Next.”
- 9). Select “Yes (Recommended)” on the Error Reporting dialog box and then click “Next.”

Select the “Typical Exchange Server Installation” option on the Installation Type dialog box. - 11
Click the “Browse” button, select the location where you want to install Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, and then click “Next.” - 12
Select the “Yes” radio button below Client Settings if all the client computers under the server on which you are installing Microsoft Exchange have Outlook 2007 installed; otherwise, click “No.” Click “Next.” - 13
Click the “Install” button to start the installation process. - 14
Click the “Finish” button when the installation process completes.
