    Toothpaste Auto Polish

      Wipe regular white toothpaste over the metal surface. Do not use gel toothpastes.

    • 2). Rub with a soft cloth.

    • 3). Remove excess car polish with a wet rag.

    • 4). Buff with a clean, dry cloth.

    Vinegar Car Polish to Remove Tarnish

      Soak a cloth in vinegar and drape over the tarnished area for 10 minutes.

    • 2). Wipe off area with a damp rag.

    • 3). Buff with a clean, dry cloth.

    Stainless Steel Car Polish

    • 1


      Mix baking soda into a thick paste by adding a small amount of water.

    • 2). Rub baking soda car polish on stainless steel surfaces.

    • 3). Clean with a wet rag.

    Auto Polish Formula for Rust Stains

    • 1


      Rub rust stains with aluminum foil.

    • 2). Mix three parts cream of tartar with one part hydrogen peroxide.

    • 3). Wipe rust spots with the car polish paste.

    • 4). Buff off with a clean cloth after the paste has dried.
