There are a number of hairstyles for girls who prefer a more low-maintenance cut or dislike long hair altogether -- and there's several attractive styles available with the use of clippers. Clippers can be used to make the back of the head more trim, while adding layers and length to the front to make the hairstyle more attractive by framing the face.

    Pixie Cut

    • The pixie cut is a very low-maintenance haircut, as the hair is trimmed close to the scalp in most cases. It is typically layered and can be spiked for a cute style. The pixie can be customized by adding length to the sides or the back. One way to style this cut quickly is to rub mousse through the strands, brush through your hair with a 1 inch ceramic brush, dry, then add molding wax to style and keep the hair in place. Some celebrities seen sporting the pixie cut include Audrey Hepburn, Sharon Stone and, most recently, Rhianna.

    The Bob

    • The bob is a style that has been around for decades. The short bob can be achieved with clippers taken to the back. With this look, bangs frame the face in an attractive fashion. This type of haircut is most suited to a round face, but can accentuate almost any type of face. There are many styles that can be associated with the bob such as the inverted bob, which involves a longer bang with layered sides and a stacked back. This style, along with the chin bob and angled bob cut, are easy to maintain and suitable for any hair color. Katie Holmes, Julia Stiles and Nicole Richie are a few celebrities who have had bobs.

    Asymmetrical Cut

    • The asymmetrical cut came into fashion in the 1980s and has stayed ever since. This style involves cutting the bangs at an angle and keeping the hair in the back short and layered. The beauty of this cut is its versatility -- as you don't have to go too short or too long in order to make it work. Some women also add different hues to chunks to create a blend or being wild by infusing colors to the bangs or back. This style can be as soft or sharp as the girl would like. A celebrity example of the asymmetrical style is Paris Hilton.
