    • 2). Cut two pieces of the fabric to the same dimensions. Layer the two pieces of fabric, with the right sides together and use pins to hold it in place.

    • 3). Sew around three sides of the fabric, the sides and the bottom. Turn the fabric right side out and press the seams.

    • 4). Fold the raw edges at the top of the curtain to the inside and hold in place with pins. Sew straight across the top to secure the raw edges inside the curtain.

    • 5). Fold down the top edge of the curtain 4 inches. Sew straight across to secure the fabric in place and form a casing for the curtain rod.

    • 6). Cut two more pieces of fabric that measure twice the entire length of the window by 4 inches wide. Fold the strips in half lengthwise with the right sides together and sew down the length of the strips.

    • 7). Turn the strips right side out and fold the raw edges of the fabric inside the tube and stitch in place. Press the ties flat.

    • 8). Measure in from the sides of the curtain 8 inches for the placement of the ties. Loop the ties around the top of the curtain and pin in place. Stitch the looped ties to the curtain at the rod pocket seam.

    • 9). Hang the curtain in the window. Use the ties to tie up the curtain.
