Paper Pot Maker Instructions
- 1). Measure strips of newspaper approximately three inches wide and 12 inches long. Cut or tear several strips of newspaper in this size.
- 2). Lay a strip of newspaper on a table. Place the larger end of the handle on the newspaper allowing about one inch of overhang. Pull the short end of the newspaper onto the handle and roll the handle down the length of the newspaper. This action wraps the newspaper around the handle in several layers and leaves one inch of newspaper overhanging the bottom of the handle.
- 3). Pick up the handle and press the overhanging newspaper firmly against the bottom of the handle.
- 4). Insert the handle with the newspaper rolled on it into the base. Press the handle down and turn it five revolutions. Pick up the handle and slide the newspaper pot off of it. Repeat this process to create additional paper pots.
- 5). Add potting soil and seeds to each starter pot and moisten them. Place the paper pots in direct sunlight for the seeds to germinate.
