Herpes Zoster in Older Adults
Conclusion
NPs will likely encounter multiple cases of HZ within their practice. Knowing clinical management of HZ and practical educational approaches will equip NPs to meet their patients' needs. Realistically, NPs work within limited time with each patient; thus, patient education may lose priority. Yet, educating patients is a prime action of the treatment plan and can enhance patient satisfaction with the care they receive from the NP.
