    Putting in the Card.

    • 1). Turn your BlackBerry over so you are looking at the back of it.

    • 2). Look at the bottom of the phone and find the silver button. It is between the two gold-colored boxes.

    • 3). Push the silver button in. While you are doing that, slide the back of the phone away from the button.

    • 4). Remove the battery by sliding your fingernail into the crack at the top of the battery. It is the side of the battery farthest from the silver button. Push down on the battery while at the same time pulling the battery away from the phone.

    • 5). Find the small, almost rectangular metal piece on top left side of the area where the battery used to be. It will have the words "lock" and "unlock" printed on it.

    • 6). Place your thumb on the metal piece and slide it toward the left side of the phone. Follow the arrow with the word "unlock" on it.

    • 7). Lift the metal cover up into a standing position.

    • 8). Align your card so that it fits into the small metal brackets on the metal cover you have lifted up. According to search.vzw.com, you need to make sure the metal prongs on the card are facing the metal prongs in the battery case that the metal piece was covering.

    • 9). Push the metal cover, now with the card in it, down until it is facedown and the two sets of metal prongs are together. Slide the metal cover to the lock position. This is toward the side of the phone with the product information sticker on it.
