How to Decorate a Blues Clues Wilton Cake
- 1). Frost the entire cake with a layer of white buttercream frosting mixed with corn syrup, using the spatula.
- 2). Ice the message box in Blue's paw with yellow frosting.
- 3). Fill a pastry bag fitted with a number 3 tip with dark sky blue buttercream frosting and draw an outline around Blue's body, feet, face, ears and hat.
- 4). Fill another pastry bag fitted with a number 16 tip with light sky blue buttercream frosting.
- 5). Cover Blue's body, ears and face with light sky blue buttercream frosting stars. To make the frosting stars, place the tip of the pastry bag vertically over the cake's surface and squeeze to produce a small star shaped drop of icing.
- 6). Fit another pastry bag with a number 3 tip and fill it with the rose buttercream frosting.
- 7). Pipe in Blue's mouth with rose icing.
- 8). Replace the tip on the dark sky blue buttercream frosting bag with a number 16 tip and fill in the spots on Blue's ears, head and body with stars.
- 9). Fill another pastry bag fitted with a number 3 tip with white buttercream frosting and pipe in the whites of Blue's eyes.

Pipe in Blue's nose and pupils with the violet tinted royal blue buttercream frosting using a pastry bag fitted with a number 3 tip. - 11
Add white highlights to the side and tip of Blue's nose using the white buttercream filled pastry bag. - 12
Outline Blue's hat with the violet tinted royal blue buttercream frosting. - 13
Change the tip on the violet tinted royal blue buttercream frosting pastry bag to a number 16 tip and cover Blue's hat with stars. - 14
Place small swirls on Blue's hat with light and dark sky blue frosting. - 15
Outline Blue's notebook with black frosting using a number 3 tipped pastry bag. You can also write a message on the notepad with the black frosting. - 16
Add rings to the top of Blue's notebook with red frosting using a number 3 tipped pastry bag.
