There are several products that work very well in control and elimination of hard to reach breeding sites.
Sprays and Foggers INSIDE: I would suggest using an active ingredient of pyrethrin.
This is made from a chrysanthemum flower.
It is regarded as a generally safe ingredient and extremely effective for knock down situations.
OUTSIDE: A good residual insect spray is a long-term control method used in outside applications.
Always read and follow the directions on the labels.
Note: Treatment needs to be consistent daily for usually 5-7 days in order to break the life cycle.
Severe infestations may take an additional week.
Recommendations: Treat all possible breeding sites.
• DO NOT assume that all breeding sources are from inside • Placing tape over overflows, drains and other possible entry points and catching them helps to determine possible breeding sites • DO NOT assume that all breeding sources are from inside • Use liners in trash cans, empty trash frequently, and use sealed lids on containers • Clean dumpsters and dumpster pads on a weekly basis especially during fly season and placedumpsters as far away from the building as possible
