Whilst there are more than 100 different strains of HPV, 30 of these strains are transmitted sexually which result in genital warts.
It's estimated that 90% of all people will contract Human Papillomavirus at some point throughout their lives.
These warts usually appear as growths around the anus or genitals.

If after examination, it is evident that the warts are in hard to reach places, laser treatment is often used.
Patients will be under a general anesthetic for the treatment.
