How to Make Natural Liquid Dish Soap
- 1). Fill a 22 oz. plastic squirt bottle three-quarters full with liquid Castile soap.
- 2). Add 20 drops lime essential oil and 10 drops sweet orange essential oil to the bottle.
- 3). Add 5 drops lemon essential oil to the bottle. Place the cap onto the bottle.
- 4). Shake the bottle vigorously and use 1 to 2 tbsp. of the dish washing liquid to warm water.
- 1). Shave 2 cups of natural soap, such as Ivory, with a cheese grater.
- 2). Place the soap shavings into a small bucket and pour 3 cups hot water over the shavings.
- 3). Allow the shavings to sit for 12 hours or until they have softened enough to be easily made into a mash.
- 4). Using a potato masher, squash the soap flakes. Add 1 tbsp. of hot water at a time to the mixture until the desired consistency is reached. Pour 1/2 cup pure lemon juice to the bucket. Stir the ingredients.
- 5). Pour the natural liquid dish soap into a 22 oz. plastic squirt bottle. Shake the bottle before each use.
