How to Make Place Cards for Weddings
- 1
Place card featuring hearts as the shape.
Fold a piece of card stock in half so it resembles a business card shape. Crease the card evenly across the fold. Flatten the card out with the inside of the card facing up. - 2
Heart-shaped template
Draw or trace a pattern in pencil onto the card stock. Use a stencil or cut your own template for tracing. Make sure that any shapes connect to make a single piece, and the pattern slightly overlaps the fold in the card in at least two points. - 3
Trace the template on the inside of the card.
Carefully cut along your pencil lines with the scalpel. Do not cut the part of the shape below the fold; this is what will hold the shape to the place card. Fold the card in half, with your shape popping up. - 4). Lay the ruler flat on the card with the front facing you. Handwrite your guest's name using the calligraphy pen with the ruler acting as a guide to keep the name straight.
- 5). Write the table number or stamp any images on the cards as you desire. Stand the cards up on the tables at the correct seat.
