Learn How to Remove Claro Search Hijacker From Your Browser

One needs to take great care when installing any program to his computer because Claro search often gets to computers when installing programs that have Claro search bundled in them.
I was a victim of this browser hijacker for almost two weeks and I tried all I could to remove it but to no avail.
I also uninstalled it from the control panel but that did not also solve the problem.
After trying for two weeks, I got a solution and I am going to share it with you now.
Follow the steps below to remove claro search completely from your browsers 1.
Go to the Windows Start Menu 2.
Select Control Panel 3.
Select Add/Remove Programs(on Windows Vista or 7, select Control Panel then "Uninstall a Program") 4.
Find "Claro LTD toolbar" in the list.
Select the program and click the "Remove" button (for Windows Vista/7,click uninstall up near the top of that window) 5.
After that, find "Browser Manager" in the list.
Select the program and click "Remove" (or "uninstall") You have just uninstalled it from the control panel but you still need to remove it from all your browsers.
For Mozilla Firefox, 1.
Go to Tools>Options 2.
Under the General tab, go to Home page and delete the Claro search URL.
Replace it with homepage of your choice.

Next, click the drop down menu in the search box at the top right hand corner of your Firefox start page.

Click "manage search engines" and select claro search.
5.
Click Remove to remove Claro search and OK to save settings.
6.
Finally, you have to revert all browser configuration changes.
To do this, type "about.
config"
(without quotes) in your URL bar and hit the enter key.
7.
Accept the disclaimer and you will be shown the about.
config settings for your browser.
8.
Search for all configurations that have claro and Babylon.
Right click each of them and select reset.
After this, quit Firefox and restart your browser.
You will see that claro search has disappeared.
For internet explorer, 1.
Go to Tools > Internet Options 2.
Select the General tab 3.
Under "Home Page", delete the Claro URL and enter your own Web site instead of search.

Click OK to save the changes 5.
Go to Tools > Manage Add-ons 6.
Select "Search Providers" 7.
Choose Bing (or any other) search engine and make it your Default 8.
Select Claro (Search the Web) and click Remove button.
Quit internet explorer and restart your browser.
