    • 1). Scrub the sides of the swimming pool vigorously with a pool brush to dislodge any dirt or debris clinging to it. Utilize a brush with metallic bristles to scrub away any stuck-on dirt or debris.

    • 2). Pour 3 oz. of a pool water clearing agent or clarifier into the water for every 10,000 gallons of water in the pool. Circulate the pool for several hours while the chemical drops any suspended particles of dirt or debris to the pool bottom.

    • 3). Hook up the pool vacuum system used with the pool. Run the vacuum's head over any areas of the pool floor covered in dirt or other debris. If the dirt or debris becomes agitated and free-floating, allow the pool to circulate and the debris to settle on the bottom of the pool floor before continuing.
