Baby Monkeys

• There are a variety of pre-designed baby shower invitations featuring cuddly-looking baby monkeys. This can include cartoon renditions of a monkey wearing a diaper and bib while sucking on a bottle, or a baby monkey wearing a bonnet in a stroller. Some of these have pictures of real monkeys onto which diapers and bonnets have been drawn. The monkey can be hanging from a tree, peeking out from behind tall grass or sitting and eating a banana. Invitations with two monkeys would be fitting for a shower for a mom-to-be with twins on the way. If you want to incorporate the monkey theme into your invitation wording, possible phrases include "Stop monkeying around and join us for a baby shower honoring (new mom's name)" or "Swing on over."
  
  

Jungle or Noah's Ark

• Another idea is to use jungle- or Noah's-Ark-themed invitations in which monkeys are featured prominently in the design. Stick to traditional shower invitation wording or emphasize the monkeys with monkey-related terms or phrases in your wording. Jungle and Noah's Ark themes tend to have neutral color schemes, which works well if the sex of the baby is unknown. For twins, Noah's Ark may be fitting, as the animals are paired off two by two, just be sure that monkeys are in the forefront of the design.
  
  

Sock Monkeys

• A cute twist on the monkey theme is to use invitations with pictures or drawings of sock monkeys instead of real monkeys. Sock monkeys are puppets made out of socks that are a shade of brown with white and red on the heel, so that the red part forms a big monkey grin. They tend to be long and thin with cheerful expressions. Invitations that showcase a monkey sock puppet can incorporate red and blue, which could work for boys or girls.
  
  

Print Your Own

• Create the invitations on a computer and print them out or handwrite them, using monkey- or jungle-themed paper. Use monkey-related terms and phrases in your wording, such as:
