It"s Probably A Time To Be Still
Are you still rushing around looking for solutions to the same issues you had this time last year? It's probably a time to be still.
Now is the time to be still and know that God is God.
Are you still knocking your head against that break wall? Still trying to get your spouse to do the right thing in certain situations? Now is the time to be still.
Still Rushing Up and Down? So many times we rush and run around looking for solutions in Sokoto ( a town in Northern Nigeria) while the solution we need is right inside our Sokoto (trouser pocket).
That is a common saying from my part of the woods.
God has promised that He will not leave us nor forsake us.
The solution we so much crave for, might just appear when we are still.
Probably a time to seek God He also promised that we should seek him and He will show us great unsearchable things that we do not know Jer 3:33.
So I believe that if God has promised to show us great things, all we need to do is to seek Him and He will show us these things.
So do you find time to be still? He will also bring us to a place of rest BUT if we are not still enough, we can miss that place of rest.
It is very important that we factor in a time for being still in the presence of God so that we can obtain God's promise for us regarding every area of our lives.
The bible says in Psalm 46:10 Be Still and know that I am God.
God is telling us that in our stillness he will speak to us.
As human beings we try to find solutions based on our own wisdom and sometimes we over do it and still do not get the results that we want.
The answer might be in the Stillness Its a good idea to stop the rushing around and be still.
In that stillness God speaks to us.
In that stillness we might find the answer to that burning question; a solution to that problem.
In that stillness, God might point us in the direction of the person who will be the agent in the solution of that problem.
It is actually healthy to be still from time to time.
I attended a seminar once and the trainer suggested that it is therapeutic to stop for five minutes everyday and to stare out through the window, appreciating our surroundings.
She said it was very healthy and I think it is.
Something like capture the moment and don't think about anything - Just appreciate nature.
Try it and see what results you get.
I hope you find the place and the time to be STILL.
