• 3). Scour the classified section of your local newspaper or consider putting in an ad stating specifically what you're looking for.
  
  
• 4). Call around to local auto salvage yards. You might be surprised at what you'll find. They can also be a wonderful "word of mouth" resource in terms of pointing you in the right direction.
  
  
• 5). Call your local Subaru dealership. They may be aware of someone planning to sell or part out their vehicle.
  
  

Negotiate a Price and Close the Deal

• 1). Negotiate a price for the seats and for shipping if you're purchasing them online. Do all you can to check the credibility of the buyer before making your purchase. If at all possible, ensure there is a return policy before agreeing to the price.
  
  
• 2). Base your price on the overall condition of the seats when negotiating face-to-face. Generally, you must accept used goods "as is" so it's important to carefully inspect the seats before handing over the money.
  
  
• 3). Arrange to have the seats removed from the vehicle if you're buying from a salvage yard. It doesn't hurt to barter a bit as junkyards rarely have set prices.
