One Day Outing From Bangalore To Goa
If you ever get a long weekend holidays, you will be still in the same mood on the day of joining back to work. To explain that feeling it would require a complete new post. The icing on the cake would be when that day the boss asks for the reports and you dont have an updated report. You even know that your boss will not entertain any of your excuses. If it is not reports there will be a new mail in your outlook suggesting new targets and new tasks. All these things just after a beautiful weekend and you could do nothing but whine and do the work.
From this busy schedule, if I can say so, I took a break and backpacked to Goa on my bike. I was not sure that the leave would get sanctioned; fortunately my boss was in a good mood and sanctioned the leave without any fuss. The leave was for five days which means that I got nine days of holiday. There was plenty of time to explore whole Goa with my Avenger. It was only after I got my leave sanctioned I asked some of my friends to join me. Even they were frustrated from the techie life ub Bangalore and agreed to join in my expedition to Goa. It was more than 600 km ride from our place and it took us around 14 hours to reach Colva, where we had booked Hotel Graciano cottage. The ride was awesome as we took the road on Friday night and we reached Colva beach next day evening. It was a good long ride with many stops and safe riding at a very good speed. We started our journey after having a good dinner. We made sure not to eat to full capacity since we would doze off while riding which is very dangerous. We took fruits and chocolate bars, in case if someone gets hungry.
The evening when we checked into the hotel, we were almost tired. Still we decided to hit the Colva beach and it was a good atmosphere. We had couple of pints and had it in the shacks. We could see the beautiful sun setting into the sea. There were many temporary shacks in the beach which meant that we didnt have to wander long distance to get all our supplies. We came back and had a good dinner in the Graciano cottage. This time we ate till we were completely full and along with some wine. It was one of the best things which we experienced, having wine with our dinner, never before experienced. The next four days were spent shopping, sight-seeing and enjoying in the beach. Apart from beaches in Goa, there are many other things which one should see when he/she visits Goa.
I completely forgot to mention that the reason we booked hotel Graciano Cottage is because we got the accommodation at discounted rates. The discounts were only possible coz of my friend, Ankit, who works for Panoramic Universal Limited (PUL), company that manages the hotel.
