How to Combine Essential Oils to Make New Scents

    Citrus Blends

    • 1). Place a tablespoon of water in a small bowl to make warming oil, or 1 ounce of vodka for a perfume blend.

    • 2). Using the eyedropper, add 6 drops of grapefruit oil, 4 drops of lavender oil, 3 drops of orange oil, 2 drops of ylang-ylang oil and 1 drop of lemon oil to the bowl.

    • 3). Stir gently to combine oils.

    • 4). Use the small funnel to carefully pour the mixture into a glass vial or bottle.

    • 5). Store the bottle in a cool, dry place for a few weeks before using to allow the oils to fully blend together.

    Floral Blends

    • 1). Place 1 tablespoon water in a small bowl to make warming oil or 1 ounce of vodka for a perfume blend.

    • 2). Using the eyedropper, add 7 drops of rose oil, 4 drops of geranium oil, 3 drops of lavender oil, 3 drops of chamomile oil and 2 drops of cypress oil to the bowl.

    • 3). Stir gently to combine oils.

    • 4). Use the small funnel to carefully pour the mixture into a glass vial or bottle.

    • 5). Store the bottle in a cool, dry place for a few weeks before using to allow the oils to fully blend together.

    Holdiay Blend

    • 1). Place 1 tablespoon water in a small bowl to make warming oil or 1 ounce of vodka for a perfume blend.

    • 2). Using the eyedropper, add 7 drops of apple blossom oil, 5 drops of ginger oil, 4 drops of sage oil, 3 drops of clove oil and 1 drop of orange oil to the bowl.

    • 3). Stir gently to combine oils.

    • 4). Use the small funnel to carefully pour the mixture into a glass vial or bottle.

    • 5). Store the bottle in a cool, dry place for a few weeks before using to allow the oils to fully blend together.
