Wisconsin is certainly a year round destination, with skiing and indoor waterparks for winter fun, and a host of lakeside activities in the warmer weather. It’s also filled with fairs and festivals all summer long. They range from those based around art, to music and heritage celebrations.

1. Monument Fair Art Festival
The Monument Fair Art Festival in Racine is actually a celebration of fine artists from around the country.

The “arts” include all forms, including music and children’s activities. The weekend long celebration has free admission for everyone.

2. Polish Fest
Milwaukee is home to the largest Polish festival in the United States. Each June, thousands gather to experience Polish entertainment, food, cooking demonstrations, history and vodka tasting. This fest also has musical contests and an Easter Seals Walk.

3. Geneva Lake Art Association Paint-In Art Fair
For 15 years, the Geneva Lake Art Association will be holding their annual Paint-in. This unique event will feature artists painting downtown under umbrellas while they answer questions and give demonstrations. The paintings will also be available for sale.

4. Country USA
One of the biggest and best country music festivals takes place in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, each year.

Headliners have included Maranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood during the five days of world-class entertainment. A campground next to the grounds makes it easy to stick around for all the fun.

5. Summerfest
Fans of all types of music, from Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga to Brad Paisley, will enjoy Summerfest in Milwaukee. Over the 11 day event there will be over 1,000 performances on 11 stages. The event attracts nearly a million people each year.

6. La Crosse Interstate Fair
It’s been more than 120 years since the La Crosse Interstate Fair Association was formed. This fair has survived many hardships and is a favorite in the area. Competitions range from agriculture to art. You’ll also find horse shows, carnival rides, go kart racing and plenty of food.

7. Rock Fest
One of the country’s biggest celebrations of rock music takes place in Cadott, Wisconsin each July. Headliners have included Nickelback, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick and REO Speedwagon will be among those at the festival. Campsites are available during the four days of live entertainment.

8. 67th Annual Holland Festival
Celebrate the heritage of the Dutch in Cedar Grove. For nearly 70 years, the annual Holland Festival features games, rides, tours, historical displays, Dutch music and fashions, live music, and a selection of Dutch food. There is also be a large parade that will be preceded by Klompen Dancing.

9. Wisconsin State Fair
Rock legend Peter Frampton and country crooner Kenny Rogers are among the performers who have appeared at the Wisconsin State Fair. The Fair will also have free entertainment, cattle competitions, exhibits, food, rides and other activities for the entire family.
