    • 1). Turn off the water supply. Locate a point on the cold water pipe where the pipe can be easily cut to fit the T-piece. Clean the pipe with wire wool to ensure a good connection between the pipe and the connector. Place the connector next to the pipe and mark on the pipe where it needs to be cut to ensure a good fit, using a marker pen.

    • 2). Insert the mini stop valve into the T-piece so it will run perpendicular to the pipe when the T-piece is fitted. Screw the valve firmly in place. Cut the pipe with a hacksaw where you marked it. Insert the T-piece. Rotate the T-piece so the mini stop valve points toward the washing machine. Screw or weld the T-piece in place, depending on the connection type on your equipment.

    • 3). Screw the straight end of the washing machine's water line onto the mini stop valve. Screw the 90-degree angle connector on the other end of the water line to the back of the washing machine. Repeat the entire process for the hot water pipe, if your washer requires a hot water pipe connection. Turn the water supply back on.
