How to Add Herbs to Pizza Dough
- 1). Mix the warm water and the yeast in the large bowl and stir the ingredients well. Add the olive oil and salt and stir again.
- 2). Mince the garlic and fresh herbs on the cutting board with the knife. Add these ingredients to the other ingredients in the bowl and mix well.
- 3). Add the flour to the bowl in 1/2-cup increments, stirring well after each addition. Continue adding flour and stirring until the dough is smooth enough to knead without sticking.
- 4). Turn the dough out onto a floured counter and knead it with your hands for about five minutes.
- 5). Return the dough to the bowl and allow it to rise for about 30 minutes.
- 6). Punch down the dough and spread it out onto an oiled pizza pan. Top the dough with sauce and other pizza toppings of your choice.
- 7). Bake the pizza at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese looks golden and the sauce bubbles.
