Buy the plywood and have it cut to the size of desk you wish to mount to a wall. Get the trim for the edges of the desk. Buy 1x2-inch wood sticks for the brackets or long metal brackets to put the wood desk on. Choose flat metal backets, or slanted brackets if you want for your wall desk to have a slant. Locate the studs in your wall. Determine what height you want the wall desk to be and mark the wall. - 2). Screw the metal or wood brackets to the wall, into the studs. Put the piece of plywood on top of the brackets. Attach the desk top to the brackets by screwing the brackets to the plywood underneath. The brackets will hold the wall desk up.
- 3). Put your edging trim on around the plywood desk with a hammer and tiny nails. This will finish the edges so they will be rounded. If you mounted the desk at a slant, nail a lip trim across the bottom of your desk top to hold items on the desk, like pencils.Your desk is now ready to paint any color you wish. Paint it the color of the wall and it will just blend in with the surroundings. Place a stool under the desk and you are ready to use your new wall desk. Place your lap top on the new desk and it can be your computer work station.
