Marylhurst University is a private Catholic university; they strive towards helping their students become better leaders, through competence and compassion. As a religious university, it is important for the university that their students receive more than just an academic education.

Even though Marylhurst is a Catholic university, students do not have to be Catholic in order to attend. No religious affiliation is required in order to attend the university.

Marylhurst University offers bachelors as well as masters programs online. Students at Marylhurst have the possibility to complete their degrees in multiple ways. Students may complete their entire degree 100% online, or they can decide to complete requirements as a combination of both online and on-campus classes. The online courses offered at Marylhurst are almost identical to those being offered on the campus. This also means that while the completely online programs can be accessed from anywhere in the world, students selecting the blended option should live within driving distance to the campus.

Marylhurst Online Accreditation

Since 1977, Marylhurst University has been accredited by the regional accreditation body NWCCU - The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. In addition to the NWCCU accreditation, multiple departments depending on their specialization have accreditations from different associations and agencies.

Marylhurst Online Degrees and Programs

Marylhurst University offers five graduate programs, these include a Masters Degree in Food Systems & Society, as well as a Master of Business Administration, an MBA in Health Care Management, an MBA in Real Estate, and finally students can complete a Masters degree in Sustainable Business (this is also referred to as a “Green MBA”).

Marylhurst University also offers online Bachelors programs in the following areas: a BA in English Literature & New Media, a BS in Business Management, as well as a BS in Real Estate Studies and finally many of the students at Marylhurst decide to complete the BA in Interdisciplinary Studies online

Marylhurst Online Admissions

Every student who wishes to apply for Marylhurst University’s online programs will have to fill out an online application. Prospective students provide the university with the required materials and transcripts from previous institutions. Once these documents have been provided, the admissions process will commence. All students applying for a Masters program will have to participate in a phone interview with the enrollment advisers from Marylhurst University.

The Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary founded Marylhurst University, and their values are still instilled in the students to this date.
