How to Remove Bearings With a Bearing Press
- 1). Place the skate board or other wheeled object using bearings upside down on a table or bench.
- 2). Locate the nut that is used to secure the wheel to the metal support. Remove the nut on one of the wheels by using the nut driver or Allen wrench. Repeat this step for the remaining wheels.
- 3). Insert the tip of the puller tool into the hole that is in the center of the bearing. Push on the wheel until you hear the tip of the tool snap into place.
- 4). Pull the handle to pop the bearing out of the wheel. Repeat this step to remove the bearing from each of the remaining wheels.
- 5). Repeat this process to remove the bearing from roller skates or other types of small plastic wheels with bearings.
