49 Rating: 5 Worlds Morgan is a man who has been hurt deeply, and because of this he has hidden away his heart.
However, his heart as well as other portions of his anatomy wake up and take notice when his new neighbor Rich moves in next door.
While Morgan may lust from afar, he does not think that Rich could possibly be attracted to him.
A county sheriff, Rich is more than interested in Morgan his next door neighbor, but he has a young son to think of as well.
Not all potential mates have been interested in Rich because he has a child.
When Morgan realizes Jinx his cat has gotten out again, he races after her just in time to save her from getting splashed by his neighbor Rich's hose, only to get a face full of water himself.
Jinx getting a little bit wet as well, gives Morgan a nasty scratch that Rich insists on attending to with first aid.
It doesn't take long for their attraction to flare brightly, but when a woman shows up at Rich's house, Morgan mistakes her for Rich's girlfriend.
Will these two be able to overcome their emotional hang-ups to form a lasting permanent bond, or will they allow the past to rule them? While gay romance is not for everyone, particularly those who find alternative lifestyles offensive, I found this book to be a love story of the first order.
Ms.
Steele handles the subject of romantic love between two men with sensitivity and daring.
Her characters have real personalities with real emotional issues, which made it that much more enjoyable.
I also found the little bit of fantasy added to this story gave it the necessary kick that made me want to keep reading.
I highly recommend this story to those who enjoy romance for romance's sake irregardless of what sex the main characters are.
