How to rent a car in Europe for less
- 1). Always find a company that does most of their business in the country where you are renting the car. This will save you a lot on booking fees and hassle with "middle men".
- 2). Shop around for prices and play with the date a little. Always remenber that the rates change based on the time of day you pick up on drop the car off. Sometimes a rental company will charge you a full day charge if you drop the car off after 10am.
- 3). Make sure your driver is over 26. THey will rent you the car if you are younger, but there will be an additional fee. Also, they charge extra for each driver. If you have 3-4 people, only designate 1-2 of them for driving. Adding additional drivers typically adds about $30 to your bill.
