Perhaps one of Audi’s most famous cars was the Audi TT. Renowned for its classy style and appearance, Audi appealed to the upper class with this luxurious model. Released to the public in 1999, the car was an immediate success, gaining worldwide fame and rocketing Audi and the Volkswagen Group to a status they had never reached before.

With around 200 horsepower, the Audi TT’s capabilities are almost limitless, and are more than good enough to impress anyone who wishes to splash out some cash on a ride to win admirers. Four-wheel drive is available on most types of Audi TT, meaning it is even more versatile; suited for whatever purpose you may have for it.

Since the car is now quite outdated, you can pick up one for a fair bit cheaper than when they were first released. Pure class and extravagance at a price almost anyone can afford; certainly second hand anyway.

In 2007, the ‘second generation’ Audi TT was released to the public, bringing success right back to the Volkswagen Group and rekindling the fire the initial release of the Audi TT in 1999 set burning. This new generation car usually has a 1.8L turbo engine, and has many interesting features, including a rear spoiler that automatically extends itself at high enough speeds (around 75mph).

The Audi TT was such a success that it has won several awards over the years, including the award for being the ‘Most Beautiful Car’, the ‘Best Designed Car of the Year’ in 2007, and being in the final few for selection as the ‘World Car of the Year’.

This model has a fuel consumption ratio of 53mpg, making it rather environmentally friendly also. Another model is the TT RS, containing a turbocharged 2.5L engine with over 300 horsepower. This model is capable of going from 0 to 100 in less than five seconds. It can reach a maximum speed of 250km/h or more, making it one of the faster cars commercially available at a reasonable price.
