Getting married can be a wonderful occasion and many people really enjoy organizing everything beforehand to ensuring that everything on the day goes well.

You need to ensure whoever you are is a professional and also has a good portfolio of products that they can show you from previous work.

I suppose the most obvious thing you need to do first is to see samples of their work.

I know this may sound obvious but many photographers may only show you the samples work they have done indoors which portrays our families.
This is the last thing you want, you want to ensure that the photographer has experience of working with weddings.
There are many things that they need to do an organize especially I wedding ceremony they don't just need to be photographers they need to be really good at organizing people that they have to deal with and this also takes a lot of talent.

If you are taking a beating with a big company you have a number of photographers you want to ensure the samples you are seeing from the photographer who is going to be assigned to your wedding.

The last thing you want is somebody who is going to try and run your wedding.
I have seen it in the past where they are actually telling everybody what to do to ensure that they get what they want and the focus should really be on you on what you want.

Pricing is always a key question and you need to ensure that you try and negotiate and set a price beforehand.
If they insist on a contract make sure you read this before signing.
Try and get a set fee you do not want to pay for time because if you have an overrun the last thing you want is to worry about how much this is going to cost you on your wedding day.
This is your day to enjoy and you need to ensure that the finances are all sorted before this.

Try and get a time frame as to when your photographs will be ready.
Obviously, you may be going on your honeymoon straight after the wedding and you will need to sit with the photographer to go to the photographs when you get back try set a date for this so that you are clear when you can have your photographs and also so to photographer knows when he will be paid.

Try and find a photographer who is familiar with the church you are going to get married in and reception area for afterwards.
They may already have lots of photographs from these locations which they can show you some.
So you can get a good idea as to what you require.
