Disadvantaged Americans, Christian Rights, and Limits of Giving a Man a Fish
They say this because most Republicans do not wish to spend endlessly on social programs, which the left insists helps people that are disadvantaged and cannot help themselves.
But is this charge really true? No it's not and let me explain why.
But first let me give you a little insight into what drove me to write this article.
Someone who leans far-left, but claims to be a moderate said to me that the Christian Right and GOP didn't care about; "Other Disadvantaged Americans.
" Meaning they cared about other Christians that were poor but no one else.
Well, this is utter poppycock and nonsense really.
That's really not fair, and considering that the Christians have been on the ground floor across America helping the poor and disadvantaged since this nation was founded, that is a real slap in the face.
Indeed, even to this day they also do medical missions around the world and help out in many Third World nations.
There is probably no group that has done more for disadvantaged Americans than religious Christian groups.
Having traveled to every single city in the United States over 10,000 people I can tell you how much good they do with homeless shelters, and helping the poor with food drives and all sorts of things.
So I think that's a very unfair comment and although it is something that the left likes to complain about; I'd much rather see nonprofit groups and religious groups helping the poor than I would the government stealing my money with extreme taxes and then blowing 45% of it as they administer the doling out of that same money.
And I think that is one of the very big complaints about the difference between the right to the left.
Indeed, I also am okay with helping fund some of those ground floor religious organizations to help the poor in some cases, where if they are not helped it threatens others.
Further, this insistence that the government give away free fishes, and tax the hell out of the rest of us is nothing more than organized theft.
Please consider all this as it's coming from the left.
