Replacing the load roller

• 1). Inspect the load rollers on the front of the jack. Check for cracks, loose treads or objects embedded in the wheels.
  
  
• 2). Pump the jack up and turn it on its side. Remove the roll pins with a hammer and pin punch. Remove the load roller with a punch.
  
  
• 3). Insert a new load roller between the brackets and secure it in place with the two roll pins. Tighten the pins with a hammer and turn the pallet jack back to the upright position. Move it back and forth and check if it is operating properly.
  
  

Repairing the steer wheels and axle

• 1). Turn the jack on its side and remove the snap ring attaching the steer wheel to the axle. The steer wheel is the wheel at the back of the jack. Loosen the bolt holding the snap ring in place with an adjustable wrench.
  
  
• 2). Slide the new wheel onto the axle and pop the snap ring back into place. Tighten it with the same adjustable wrench.
  
  
• 3). Set the pallet jack back to the upright position and check to see if it is operating properly.
  
  

Repairing the handle

• 1). Inspect the handle and look for cracks. Pull down on the jack and leave it in the lift position. Disconnect the adjusting nut from the control rod at the chain connector with an adjustable wrench.
  
  
• 2). Pull the chain clear of the connecting pin and take out the roll pin, connecting the hydraulic unit to the connecting pin. Remove the connecting pin and the handle.
  
  
• 3). Set the handle on the hydraulic unit and insert the connecting pin. Attach the roll pin that fastens to the hydraulic unit. Slide the chain connector through the pin and attach the adjusting nut and screw onto the control rod. Test the handle.
