How to Clean Dust From Photographs
- 1). Wear white cotton clothes while handling photographs. Fingertips have oils that can transfer to and damage the pictures, even if you're careful and only hold the edges and corners.
- 2). Use a soft brush. A soft clean make up brush, like the ones used to apply blush, are perfect for this job. You can also purchase a photograph brush at a photography store.
- 3). Start at the center of your photograph and dust with the soft brush to the outside edges. Do not blow the dust off with your mouth.
- 4). Store photographs in an acid free album or storage box to avoid further dust from gathering on your pictures.
